I just don’t know. My sober half says something so excessive cannot be good for me—just plain silly. But the other, usually more fun half of me, screams an investment like this could change the trajectory of my entire life for the better and saner. It’s as if Bass Pro Shop and Toyota had a casual encounter the resulting love child was way out of my league… and that’s exactly what seems to have happened.
This Toyota pickup is part and parcel a mobile command unit for hunters—the head first sportsman’s C2V. Designed by Bass Pro Shop’s RedHead Pro Hunting Team the interior of the truck features a weather station, GPS, Browning camo mud mats and a pistol-sized safe (not the most glamorous of the trucks modifications but practical and well appreciated). If you want to see some real fireworks though, move on back to the bed of the pick-up, which boasts a stove, a sink (fed by a built-in seven gallon water tank), two “swing out” work benches/counter tops, and what appears to be side accessible closet, complete with a clothes rack.
The camper shell can hold an 86 square foot platform (complete with safety rails) that accommodates a 7’ X 7’ two-man camouflage blind (or your favorite tent if you prefer). Underneath, the truck has a three-inch suspension lift, and ATX 18-inch Teflon coated wheels paired with 33 x 12.5″ Nitto Mud Grapplers tires, a combo designed to get this carriage out in the thick of it.
No word on a price yet, but you can get a closer look at it here.
