The AES Weapon Shock Simulator Replicates the Shock Environment of an M4 Carbine

The AES Weapon Shock Simulator was designed to replicate the shock environment of an M4 Carbine.

The purpose of the simulator is to test the stress that the shock puts on items such as rail mounted lights and lasers. By putting lasers and sights on the simulator manufacturers can perform in house testing on their products, effectively reduce test time and cost.

The video below shows how the Weapon Shock Simulator systematically replicates the shock environment of an M4 carbine. They have broken the firing cycle of the M4 Carbine into a series of steps and have used those steps to break down and duplicate both the shock time history and the shock response spectrum of the M4 Carbine.
