Glock showed its support for the Special Operations Warrior Foundation (SOWF) by presenting the organization a check for $100,000. That brings Glock’s total contributions to this organization alone up to a whopping $700,000.
The check was presented during the Special Operations Force Industry Conference held in Florida last week. The money will go towards helping the families of fallen or wounded special operations personnel from the Army, Navy, Air Force and Marine Corps. Specifically, they give financial aid in times of needs and contribute to the college funds of surviving children of fallen special operations personnel.
In fact, Melinda Ruddess Petrignani, a former recipient of the scholarship, was there to accept the check along with SOWF President Col. John T. Carney.
“The generosity of the men and women of Glock will have a long-lasting effect on the families of SOF warriors,” Carney said.
Glock vice president Josh Dorsey was more than happy that the company was making such a generous donation. He said, “The SOWF is a tremendous organization that provides significant contributions to military families, and we are honored and proud to continue our support of the foundation.”
If Glock continues its annual tradition for just three more years they’ll hit the $1 million mark for SOWF donations.
