Thompson/Center Arms for a limited time, is offering a rebate on their T/C Venture rifle and Triumph Bone Collector muzzleloader. The offer is currently running and will continue through to Nov. 30, and extra good news for America’s hat, this rebate is valid for Canadian customers, too.
The rebate is for just the two guns, but of the Thompson/Center Arms guns, they represent, reliability, accuracy and value even without the additional mail-in rebate, which is for $50. The rebate is for both citizens and residents of both countries, and not for groups, organizations, companies or government agencies who need muzzleloaders.
Or bolt action rifles, as is the case with the T/C Venture. The Venture is a low-cost rifle designed with a MOA (minute of angle) guarantee, with most rifles shooting sub-MOA with good ammo (and a good shooter). Priced around $450 before the rebate, the Venture is a simple, no-frills bolt gun with the right set of features to make it a solid shooter but still inexpensive.
The Venture has a molded polymer stock with rubberized grip panels for improved traction, a tough, smooth and durable Melonite finish on the 60-degree bolt, a deep blued finish on the match-grade barrel and and an externally-adjustable trigger. It does not have iron sights but the receiver is ready for a scope from the factory. It’s available in two models, the standard Venture and the Weathershield Composite, with a rust-resistant finish over the barrel and receiver.
The Venture is available in .270 and .300 Winchester Short Magnum, .204 Ruger, .223, .22-250, 7mm-08 .25-06 and .280 Remington, .243, .270 and .308 Winchester, 30 T/C, .30-06 Springfield, 7mm Remington Magnum, .300 and .338 Winchester Magnum and the Weathershield Composite .22-250 and 7mm-08 Remington, .270 and .308 Winchester, .30-06 Springfield, 7mm Remington Magnum and .300 Winchester Magnum.
The Bone Collector is a step up, if also a step back. It is a truly modern .50 caliber muzzleloader, with features more common to high-precision rifles than powder guns. It has an advanced composite stock with rubber grip inserts as well as a thickly-padded cheek piece and buttpad. The stock is available in grey and black or Realtree AP HD camo and the rest of the rifle is finished with Thompson/Center’s Weathershield coating.
It comes with a solid aluminum ramrod and features T/C’s Speed Breech XT, a fast and easy-to-remove breech plug that can be unscrewed by hand no matter how many shots you’ve fired. The Bone Collector also has a fluted barrel for rigidity and heat dissipation and fiber-optic sights that make it a very accurate muzzleloader.
The Bone Collector does come with a price premium, and depending on the model, often starts around or under $550. A $50 rebate does take some of the edge off that, and if you were going back and forth on this, now’s your chance to pick up one of these ultra-modern muzzleloaders.
Again, the rebate runs through Nov. 30, so you’ve got a little time to take advantage of this bargain. For details, check out the rebate page right here.
