The reason that the magazine had the serial number on it was that British troops were not issued extra magazines they reloaded using stripper clips with the mag in the gun. Only UK snipers were issued extra mags for their weapons not the regular troops.

Because the Jungle Carbine costs a 3rd of that and it is also a collectable rifle.
