The Shooting Hunting Outdoors Trade Show is one of the biggest, if not the largest, firearm-centric convention in the world. While the show is only open to professionals in the firearms, shooting, hunting and outdoors industries — retailers, distributors, law enforcement, military and media — it’s where most gun and gear manufacturers introduce their new products for the year.
SHOT Show officially kicks off tomorrow in Las Vegas. With rapidly changing technology, manufacturing techniques and the current political climate surrounding the topic of guns, it’s sure to be an interesting show.
Guns.com will explore stories like Taurus and their rising importance in the international arms industry, the drama of the Heizer Defense and the DoubleTap Defense break-up and of course a look at possible buyers of Freedom Group.
We’re geared up to talk shop with five-time olympian Kim Rhodes, pick the brain of the Motor City Madman Ted Nugent.m we’ll also be sitting down with the National Rifle Association to see what they have in store for the next few years.
We’ll look at products like Ruger’s new .45-caliber pistols in addition to a laundry list of new guns. we also will have a one-on-one with U.S. Firearms and the creator of the new Zip Factory .22 handgun, upcoming companies like Houlding Precision Firearms which will begin to distribute its products nationally, the iconic Smith & Wesson and its newest additions to the M&P line, just to name a few.
The convention takes place right in the middle of the strip at the Sands Expo at the Venetian Hotel. This year’s show is sure to match last year’s with the more than 61,000 visitors coming from all 50 states and more than 100 countries.
Stay tuned to Guns.com.
