They also never fired the last shot in each but the last magazine so they did not have to return the slide forward.

their times would be faster if they weren't really aiming at targets just spraying, but their times would be slower if they were moving and reloading.

The VA Tech shooter used a backpack of 10 round magazines, against people in their prime of life. Why didn't they stop him? Same answer.

I once met someone, a rather large someone, but I know a lot of large people, who had taken six rounds from a.357 mid mass. He had then taken the empty firearm away from his attacker and beat him with his own weapon. The person I met had survived the incident his attacker was pronounced dead on arrival at the hospital. Most people of his stature are pretty easy going but what gives anyone the ability to infringe my rights by deciding how many rounds I can load in a magazine?

Jim is faster with the smaller mags because he FIRES FASTER. I have no idea what these people are trying to demonstrate.

I really doubt a room full of first graders is going to rush a shooter and subdue him during a mag change.

That is why no law regarding guns (other than enforcing mental-health red-flags) should be created because of the Newtown situation. A mentally-ill cretin with limited or "video-game-fueled" skills, and ANY type of gun(s) or magazine(s), chose an inescapable classroom of helpless, bewildered victims, who could only cower and cry - then fired AT ANY SPEED until all were killed. No one was shooting back, no one was challenging or rushing him, no one was counting shots or magazines. It was only when ANYONE ARMED was going to fight back, that this deranged coward ended it in suicide. Every facet of this is already illegal and a situation that would not benefit by further burdening the law-abiding or banning guns or capacities.

wow if I spend endless days and had more money than I knew what to do with I might be able to be a professional shooter too what if the pro had to dig the mags outta his pockets while being shot at? what would be his times then? that was a waste.

I do not move as well as I used to but I used to be able to remove a partially fired magazine from a M-16. Put it in a pocket, retrieve full magazine from another pocket and load that into my firearm pretty fast. I was taught to change out my first magazine early because if someone was counting shots they might move into the open after twenty.

Still shows that no matter what the VP says it does not take 10 seconds to reload. Also the times wold have been faster if the magazines were not sticking on the female shooter. Also shows that even with LE 75-80% of shots miss there target. Now your 30 round mag is worth about 6 hits on the target.

For all the people who like to postulate that the best time to "take the shooter down" is during a magazine change, remember that virtually everyone is looking to run away from the shooter, unless they are trapped behind cover, hoping not to be seen. In Tuscon, the shooter fumbled his magazine and someone was able to kick it away (which you can't count on happening), and years ago, on the Long Island train, the unskilled shooter was in a confined space with his victims. The rest of the time, shooters are not stopped unless: someone is challenging them by shooting back, at which point they kill themselves, die at the hands of the police or citizen with a gun, or surrender (in a rare case).

To all who have said "this is a waste" or asked "what does it show?", this video demonstrates that there is very little, if any, tactical advantage to be gained by the restricting of the magazine capacity. It also demonstrates to the public that those putting such restrictions forward are incompetent in that area and their opinions discounted as useless.

target the head at a distance where you have time and cover......close in you will be lucky to hit a critical body mass shot! adrenal tunnel vision takes its toll at some level.
