It is unclear in this video what these Syrian rebels are blowing up, but it looks to be a ancient place of worship, the religion of which is unknown.  The denotation takes place around the 30 second mark.  Either the explosion was a little larger than expected or these rebels are a bad judge of distance – either way they dodged some large pieces of cinder block flying over their heads.
