A Connecticut man finds himself in custody after brandishing a BB gun near the Presidents motorcade

bodyYesterday Joseph Stravinskas, a 27-year-old Connecticut man, was taken into custody when local authorities found him shooting tin cans with a BB gun rifle in a lot adjacent to President Obama’s motorcade route. As the Secret Service and local police were securing the route after President Obama’s gun control speech at The University of Hartford, a officer noticed Stravinskas.

Stravinskas who is homeless was described to be oddly pacing back and forth and was unresponsive to authorities as they first approached him. After being taken into custody, President Obama’s motorcade passed through without incident. Stravinskas was charged with breach of peace in the second degree, threatening in the second degree and interfering with an officer.
