Premium optics manufacturer Meopta and pro wrestler and action star, “Stone Cold” Steve Austin have teamed together to introduce a limited edition Broken Skull Ranch riflescope. Austin, no stranger to the outdoors, worked closely with Meopta to create a custom design for their popular MeoPro 4-12×50 riflescope.
The design prominently features Austin’s Broken Skull Ranch logo on the objective bell opposite his John Hancock.
The scope is now available for pre-orders and for people picking theirs up in person at the NRA Expo next Saturday in Houston will also receive a hand-autographed certificate of authenticity from Austin himself.
“I have been an avid hunter and outdoorsman all my life so partnering with Meopta to bring the Steve Austin Broken Skull Ranch hunting scope to the marketplace is a dream come true for me,” said Austin. “I am passionate about everything I do, and I need equipment that is tough enough to withstand the Broken Skull Ranch test. Meopta scopes and binoculars deliver big time; they are rugged, clear, and sharp with amazing light-gathering capabilities.”
“We are excited to partner with Steve to offer his fans this special edition Broken Skull Ranch riflescope,” said Reinhard Seipp, Meopta COO. “Steve shares our passion for hunting and the outdoors and knows that our optics are engineered not only for exceptional optical quality but extreme durability as well. He is the ultimate test. If Meopta optics are tough enough for Steve Austin, they are tough enough for anyone.”
This is a nice, minimalistic branding that doesn’t affect the performance or function of the scope itself, which is a well-proven model.
Using a Meopta-specific multicoating system, the MeoPro has fantastic light transmission across all levels of magnification.
It’s priced right, too. The Broken Scull Ranch scope has an MSRP of $599, making this fairly affordable glass, particularly for its quality.
While Meopta doean’t have a product page up for this particular variant, the specifications are identical to their standard 4-12×50 riflescope, and you can see all the details here.
The nitrogen-purged scope weighs 18 ounces and measures in at just a hair over 14 inches long. It has four inches of eye relief and the turrets adjust for windage and elevation in .25 MOA clicks.
Whether you’re a hunter or target-shooter, if you’re a Steve Austin fan and you’re looking for a subtle way to show it off, this scope has your name all over it. Wait, no, it has Austin’s. You get the idea.
