Would-be robbers were foiled after attempting to mug an Arizona resident who refused to be a victim.
According to Yuma County prosecutor William Katz, the intended mark “was approached by two males. They demanded his wallet, when he didn’t comply, they demanded his wallet again. It was at that point that they brandished a weapon and [the victim] took out his own .45-caliber weapon.”
The victim’s legally concealed firearm promptly resolved the incident – resulting in one of the assailants being treated for a life-threatening gunshot wound to the neck. Both suspects were charged with attempted murder, armed robbery and aggravated assault.
