Not all shotguns can reliably feed a ghost- or carrier-loaded shotgun. If you’re going to try this, and you should because awesome, make sure you take your gun to the range and put at the very least a few dozen carrier-loaded shells downrange.
Quite a few shotguns are capable of working with a loaded carrier, so it’s worth finding out if yours is one of them. And even most shotguns that have problems with this can be modified, sometimes as easily as trimming or shaping the carrier. The presto, +1 capacity.
