“Rodents of Unusual Size” Documentary about 20-pound Rats in Louisiana (VIDEO)

The fragile wetlands of Louisiana are under attack by legions of 20-pound rodents. The semi-aquatic nutria has plagued the bayou with environmental issues since they were brought to the U.S. in the 1930s and 40s. Documentarian Chris Metzler’s “Rodents of Unusual Size” profiles a group of colorful and off-beat residents who have taken it upon themselves to bring the giant rodent population in check – shooting and trapping the fur-bearers one-by-one until the natural environment is reestablished.
