Beyoncé Calls for Moment of Silence for Trayvon Martin during Concert (VIDEO)

At the Mrs. Carter Show World Tour concert at Bridgestone Arena in Nashville, Tennessee, Saturday night, Beyoncé called for a moment of silence to honor Trayvon Martin. The request came after George Zimmerman’s not-guilty verdict was announced late that same night.

With the lights dimmed, Beyoncé then broke the silence by singing a verse of “I Will Always Love You.” The song eventually evolved into her hit “Halo,” at which point the lights came back on and it was business as usual.
