Early Tuesday morning in Concord, New Hampshire, a man shot himself… while sleeping, reported the Concord Monitor.
Officers were dispatched at 12:32 a.m. on report of a man who shot himself in the knee. The man’s wife said her husband appeared to be sleepwalking and only woke up after the gun discharged.
The injured husband “was taken to the hospital for non-life-threatening injuries,” Concord Police Chief John Duval said.
While the incident is still under investigation, it is unlikely any charges will be filed. And if no crime was committed, then no name will be released.
“This is a good opportunity to remind our citizens of safe storage of weapons and other practices,” Duval said.
