A drill sergeant gets in the face of a little kid on an episode of Jenny Jones, but the young boy’s responses quickly change the sergeant’s demeanor.
“You love that woman right there? You love her right?” The drill sergeant asks, just inches from the boy’s face.
“Yes, sir,” the child responds, nearly at attention.
“You’re not an adult until you’re 18. Do you want me to be your daddy for the next eight years, son?” Asks the stern drill sergeant as he stoops down low and points his finger at the child.
Without missing a beat, the boy replies, “Yes, sir.”
“You do?” The confused drill sergeant stands up to his full height, unable to hide his widening smile.
Resuming his hard case character, the drill sergeant leans back down and asks, “Why you want me to be your daddy?”
“I have no daddy.”
Hand on the boy’s shoulder, the drill sergeant gives a surprising response.
“You have no daddy? Well let me tell you something. Come here, give me a hug,” he said.
Game over. No more playing at scare tactics. The drill sergeant puts his arm around the kid’s shoulder and leads him off stage.
