An armed group of masked men stormed into a Bogota, Columbia, hospital on Wednesday as part of a daring escape for a prisoner that was being treated there.
Security cameras caught footage of the men as they broke out Alexander Urrego, a prisoner who was convicted for his involvement in a gang killing, and who was getting a check-up at the hospital.
The masked men shot inside the foyer of the hospital, scaring patients and visitors as they sought cover.
Fleeing the scene, the gunmen blindly loosed rounds as they left, shattering a window and injuring hospital officials and a security guard.
The Colombian daily La Opinion reported four men have been captured by police in connection with Urrego’s harrowing escape.
A reward of $15,500 has been issued for any information leading to the prisoner’s re-capture.
