Holy crap I would not have expected these results. I have to imaging weak-hand practice helps with this a great deal.
Although when you think about it, the alternating-fire technique is prone to inaccuracy; by raising and lowering the guns before and after shooting, you’re really waving those guns around a lot. By shooting both guns at the same time, you maintain a positive grip and your weak side will naturally mirror your strong side.
Still, if you’re practicing dual-wielding, you’re wasting ammo, and that’s why we can’t have nice things. (Wait ’til next year or so, then try it.)
