Soldiers before, during and after a tour of war (16 Photos)

“We Are Not Dead” is a series of portraits of British soldiers before, during and after an eight-month deployment in Afghanistan. British photographer Lalage Snow captured the portraits as an “attempt at giving the brave young men and women the chance to speak.” In the full gallery, the portraits are captioned with the thoughts and feelings of each individual.
