A gun-toting robber tried sticking up a convenience store in Richmond, California, Wednesday but soon found himself face down on the floor at the hands of a heroic customer.
Michael Corbin, 50, was armed with a revolver when he walked into an AM/PM around 1:30 in the morning. He thrust the gun in the clerk’s face and demanded money, but was immediately met with opposition.
As the clerk grabbed the weapon and tried wrestling it away from Corbin, a customer appeared out of nowhere and body-slammed the crook to the floor. The bystander held Corbin to the ground until police arrived, according to Sgt. Nicole Abetkov.
Corbin was arrested and charged with possession of a firearm and robbery and is held in jail on $100,000 bond.
