Former Boston Eagles wide receiver Alex Amidon recently expressed his interest in pursuing a career as a Navy SEAL instead of a NFL player.
Amidon finished 11th in the nation in receiving in 2012 with 1210 yards and set multiple records at his school. He had the potential to be picked during the 2013 NFL Draft, and while he may continue with football, the star may want to become a Navy SEAL, Boston reports.
While Amidon has yet to make up his mind, becoming a SEAL is definitely “something he might want to do,” according to Chris Cameron, BC’s associate athletics director.
Amidon finished out his college career with 191 receptions for 2,792 yards and 15 touchdowns and in 2013 he shared the Heisman Trophy with a fellow BC senior.
