Kansas City police arrested a man at his Grandview home Thursday who they believe is responsible for the recent string of at least 12 highway shootings.
The Kanas City highway shootings began March 8 and the last reported incident occurred April 6. The man who was arrested has yet to be identified and charges were pending as of Thursday, but authorities say they discovered shell casings from his home and that the investigation is ongoing, New York Daily News reports.
Kansas City Police Chief Darryl Forte said more arrests may be made but he wanted people to know they were safe.
“We want people to know they’re safe,” Forte said, “they’ve been safe the whole time.”
