The Citizens Committee for the Right to Keep and Bear Arms discusses two competing Washington state gun measures and how they’ll affect those out of the state.
Thomas McKiddie, projects director for CCRKBA, and Phil Watson, treasurer of CCRKBA, tell you why they think I-591 and I-594 should fail. For those who don’t know:
- Measure I-594 aims to regulate firearm sales between private individuals by implementing a background check;
- Measure I-591would prevent the government from confiscating firearms without due process and implementing background checks unless a federal standard is established.
Also in Washington, CCRKBA’s partnered organization, the Second Amendment Foundation, discusses national measures and its structure.
