This is a fun one. I don’t own too many straight-up fun guns but this is definitely on my list. This is a reproduction Winchester 1887 by Chiappa for Taylor’s. They make a few of these Browning-designed shotguns including the 1887 T-model for Terminator fans.
Even if you’re not a big fan of hickok45 videos this one’s worth watching if you’re thinking about picking up an 1887. He demonstrates how to ghost-load the shotgun for a total capacity of 5+2, five in the mag, one in the chamber and one on the loading gate. It’s actually easier to ghost-load the 1887 than most shotguns making this a particularly versatile firearm, either as a fun gun or a truck gun.
Depending on the stock, grip and finish they can be had for about $1,000 to $1,300, which is up there for a fun gun but not a deal-breaker.
