A panhandler dressed as Spider-Man found himself behind bars after punching a New York cop in the face Saturday.
The web head was in Times Square charging tourists $10 to take a picture with him when one NYPD officer overheard the inflated fee. The officer confronted Spider-Man and asked him for ID, but the superhero-turned-criminal punched the officer in the face instead, New York Post reports.
Spidey’s identity was revealed when he tore off his mask and told the officer, “Fuck you! This is none of your business.” Junior Bishop, the man behind the costume, then attacked the officer and the fight was on.
While Bishop managed to get a few good hits in, he was ultimately arrested and charged with felony assault.
The officer sustained minor injuries and was transported to NYU’s Langone Medical Center to be treated for pain and swelling of the face.
