Shaq is back, as a Florida reserve officer (VIDEO)

Retired basketball superstare Shaquille O’Neal has applied for a position with the city of Doral to become a reserve police officer.

This is not the first time the seven-foot one, 325 legend has been issued a badge. In a previous life O’Neal was a reserve officer with the Miami Beach police.

The process isn’t complete yet, as he still needs to pass a background check, a physical and a psychological exam. Afterwards he still needs to be certified by the Florida Department of Law Enforcement.

“If he passes, he will then have to do everything else to be certified by the Florida Department of Law Enforcement, just like any of our other officers, reserve or not reserve,” said city spokeswoman Christina Baguer according to the Miami Herald.
