Cell phone video captures Ferguson gun fire that severely injures police officers (VIDEO)

Cell phone video from a bystander in Thursday morning’s shooting in Ferguson, Missouri, captures the exact moment two officers were shot during a rally near the police station.

The amateur video used in reports by several media outlets was posted in raw form on RT USA, the American arm of the Russian TV channel.

Gun fire can be heard, onlookers scramble and groaning can be heard off camera.

“Acknowledgement nine months ago would have kept that from happening,” a man says off camera.

Ferguson has seen much unrest since the Aug. 9 shooting of an 18-year-old black male by a white police officer. The officer, Darren Wilson, was then acquitted of charges by a grand jury some three months later. The Department of Justice recently released a scathing report calling police practices racist and the city’s court system discriminatory against black people. Both Ferguson’s city manager and chief of police have resigned following the release of that report.
