When Jerilynn Robinson saw that a note had been left on her car, her immediate thoughts were not good. But once she looked at the handwritten letter, she realized it wasn’t for her, but rather her husband, Tom.
13-year-old James Dorris had apparently seen the license plate on the Georgia couple’s car, which showed that Tom was a veteran, and he just wanted to leave a note to thank him for his service.
The note, which was later posted to Facebook and received hundred of likes, read: “God loves you. Thank you for serving our country. I appreciate your sacrifices.”
Tom said the gesture surprised him and it was the first note he’s ever found left on his vehicle just simply thanking him for his service.
“It brought joy to me,” Tom said.
