A former New England Patriots football player was found guilty of first-degree murder by a Massachusetts jury Wednesday morning, The Los Angeles Times reported.

Tight end Aaron Hernandez was charged in the June 2013 killing of Odin Lloyd, a semiprofessional football player.

Prosecutors reportedly said Hernandez, 25, shot Lloyd six times at an industrial park in North Attleborough, Massachusetts. The Times reported that the jury also found Hernandez guilty on gun and ammunitions charges. The former football player faces a mandatory life sentence without possibility of parole.

Hernandez is also being charged in a separate case for the July 2012 killing of Daniel de Abreu and Safiro Furtado in Boston, the Times reported.
