After police in Birmingham, Alabama, received a call about a burglary in progress Sunday morning, they quickly apprehended a male suspect, but it wasn’t long before they were chasing after him again once he took off in a police cruiser.
While responding to the call, officers arrested the suspect, handcuffed him and placed him in the back of a patrol car, but the man somehow managed to get his handcuffed hands in front of him and subsequently stole the cop car in which he was sitting.
Although it wasn’t as wild a chase as this one, he drove a short distance before abandoning the vehicle and fleeing on foot, still in handcuffs.
However, authorities caught up with him about a block from where he left the patrol car and apprehended him for a second time. The good news was he was already in handcuffs.
