An Albuquerque biker gang known as the Punishers made an unexpected visit to a mentally challenged 5-year-old girl this week who had recently been targeted by a bunch of bullies and beat up while walking home from school.
The motorcycle group, which is made up of military veterans and law enforcement, teamed up with a local self-defense group, to deliver a powerful message to the girl, who walked out of her home “wide-eyed” when she saw her visitors.
“We told her that we are always there for her no matter what,” said Punishers LE/MC Albuquerque President Norman Gonzalez.
Gonzalez noted that they talked to the girl about always standing up for herself.
“Emotionally,” he said, “It was a good feeling.”
And the visit ended with the young girl feeling a bit more confident than she had before.
