A test pilot jams out in his old school F-16 Fighting Falcon, going from brake release to 15,000 feet in under a minute.
The dizzying footage, shot by Turkish Aerospace Industries (TAI) Test Pilot Murat Keles shows his backseater Murat Ozpala as they give a Pakistani Air Force F-16B trainer a workout. The U.S. Air Force and reserves operate 1,245 F-16s, but are much more modern variants.
TAI is upgrading the Pakistani’s fleet of 1980’s era Block 15 Falcons to extend their service life and allow them to carry a wider array of the latest smart weapons.
And it looks like they are doing a pretty good job.
