Director Michael Bay — who is best known for blow’em up action films like Transformers, Bad Boys, Armageddon — has taken on the politically charged incident in Benghazi, Libya, when Islamic militants attacked the American diplomatic compound on Sept. 11, 2012, and killed two Americans, including a U.S. Ambassador J. Christopher Stevens.
“13 Hours: The Secret Soldiers of Benghazi” is a story about six members of a security team who fought to defend the American diplomatic compound after the attack by radical Islamist terrorists.
The film stars James Badge Dale, John Krasinski, Max Martini, Toby Stephens, Pablo Schreiber, David Denman, Dominic Fumusa, and Freddie Stroma. The film is scheduled to be released on Jan. 15, 2016, by Paramount Pictures.
