It’s been called a Batmobile and a Transformer, but whatever you want to call it, it’s definitely turning heads.
The San Francisco Police Department debuted their newest all terrain vehicle during the Bay Bridge Series over the weekend. And when they say “all terrain” they mean it. The “quadski” goes from off-road to water without a hitch.
“It’s pretty unique. This watercraft will do 45 miles per hour on land or water. It just changes from mode to mode in a push of a button,” said SFPD Sgt. Keith Matthews.
Rides on the quadski aren’t being given to the general public at this time, although not for lack of people asking.
