Burning lean muscle tissue into the night, 22plinkster decided to test the ballistic properties of the .500 S&W against the might of overripe Tennessee watermelons.
Using Federal Vita-Shok rounds, which send a 325-grain Swift A-Frame bullet out to 1800 fps, with something like 2300 ft. lbs. of energy, Plink’s .500 has about ten times the energy at the muzzle that you would find in a .38 Special plinking round.
But, is it enough to make it through five watermelons?
Either way, it looks pretty gross to find out.
What did those melons do to you, guy?
