An Israeli security guard at a checkpoint entrance to Beitar Illit, near the village of Gush Etzion, Jerusulem, was the target for knife-wielding Palestinian woman over the weekend.
Surveillance video captured the moments the woman walked up to the unsuspecting guard, handed over her ID, and began to calmly talk with the guard before pulling a large knife from her purse and lunging at the 35-year-old security guard as he stepped away from the woman and critically shot her.
The woman, who was later identified as 23 year-old Halva Alian, was found to be free of bombs and the guard suffered only minor injuries.
