A 55-year-old went on a joyride through Columbus, Georgia, in a stolen semi full of beer, only to accidentally run over himself while attempting to elude authorities.
Gregory Miller is accused of stealing a Coors Light truck from a Circle K early Monday morning while the driver was making a delivery. Soon after receiving the call, officers located the stolen truck, but Miller wasn’t ready to give up and led them on a brief chase.
Eventually, Miller decided to bail from the truck and run on foot, but when he got out of the semi it was still in drive. While jumping from the truck, Miller’s leg was caught under the Coors Light truck and he was subsequently apprehended by authorities.
Miller was transported to an area hospital where he is suffering from a severe ankle injury and was last listed in “unsatisfactory condition.”
It’s unclear if Miller was under the influence of alcohol at the time of the incident.
