A Memphis woman protected herself against two men who forced their way into her home last month.
After hearing a knock on the door just after 6 p.m. on Tuesday, December 22, the woman opened the door, only to have the two men force their way inside. One of the men, who was later identified as 22-year-old Nico Carlisle, immediately pressed a gun against the woman’s neck.
But what the suspects didn’t know was that the woman grabbed a gun of her own before answering the door, and before Carlisle could make another move, the woman shot him multiple times. Carlisle fell to the ground and the second suspect, who is still at large, fled from the home.
When police arrived, Carlisle was still lying in front of the door and was pronounced dead at the scene. The homeowner was uninjured.
