Sure, drones can be invaluable tools with all sorts of uses, but they can also be bothersome and sometimes downright dangerous.
The Dutch National Police force, however, is working on a way to get drones out of the way in an emergency situation quickly, effectively and without harming people who may be below. All of this is hoped to be accomplished though the use of trained eagles.
The large, powerful talons of the majestic birds give help them to easily snatch drones out of the sky, and in turn take them to the desire location. Trial runs using the eagles will be conducted over the next few months, while the force evaluates ways to make sure the birds are protected.
