An armed citizen shot and killed a man who kidnapped and robbed him at gunpoint in Dekalb County, Georgia, over the weekend.
Authorities say the two men met up Sunday around 12:30 a.m. According to the victim, the two men had previously talked and were meeting for a sexual encounter. But instead of engaging in any sex acts, the suspect pulled a gun on the victim and ordered him to drive to an ATM to collect cash.
The victim drove to several ATMs, but when he pulled into a Shell station, the suspect became a little more relaxed with his weapon, giving the victim an opportunity to pull out his own weapon. The victim then fired a single shot, striking his assailant, who died from his injuries.
Police have not released the names of either the victim or the suspect, and the investigation is ongoing.
