Teen clerk snatches gun from would-be robber (VIDEO)

A man attempting to rob a store in Atlantic City, New Jersey, Monday afternoon was foiled by a fearless teen who snatched away his gun.

The encounter, which lasted just under a minute, was captured on the store’s security cameras and the 17-year-old clerk said if put in the same situation, he would have reacted exactly the same.

Efaj Ahmed was working in his parent’s store when the suspect, who was wearing a hoodie and a mask, entered the business armed with a gun.

“His hand was right on the bag and the gun was right on the counter,” Ahmed said. “He’s like, ‘Put all the money right here, right now.’”

But instead of handing over the cash, Ahmed made a move for the gun, grabbed it and aimed it at the suspect.

“That’s when he took his mask off and everything and put his hands up. He’s like, ‘Stop. Stop. Stop,’” Ahmed recalled.

Then the suspect took off, leaving behind his weapon, which was later determined to be a BB gun.

Anyone with information about the suspect is asked to contact the Atlantic City Police Department at (609)347-5766 or text to 847411. Tipsters can remain completely anonymous.
