Relatively new firearms company BNTI Arms announced the release of its Warrior series AR platform chambered in the 7.62x39mm round.

The Warrior Series AR/AK BA Beast Optics Ready rifle, as it is affectionately called, combines the versatility and accuracy of the AR platform with the hard hitting AK round.

“The age old debate AK vs AR… well, at BNTI Arms, we say ‘why not have the best of both worlds,’” President of BNTI Arms Jim Pledger said in a statement. “Our new rifle takes the best of the AR and AK platforms and creates a reliable, accurate rifle that can be easily accessorized and fires a round that hits like a sledgehammer.”

Built for the Nigerian military and law enforcement markets, the Warrior rifle was engineered with durability in mind. Utilizing a precision-machined MIL-Spec forged lower and upper, the rifle offers reliability in a rugged package.

The rifle features a M16 style bolt carrier group and is outfitted with Magpul accessories to include M-LOK handguard, MOE M-LOK vertical grip, Pro flip-up rear sight and ACS-L polymer stock.

A Products Defense anti-tilt stainless steel 28 round magazine tops off the notable features on the Warrior series AR/AK.

No word on what price-point the Warrior rifle plans to occupy.
