Who says 101 is too old to skydive? Not this D-Day survivor (VIDEO)

At 101 years and 38 days old, Bryson William Verdun Hayes appears to have set the world record for the oldest skydiver.

The record, however, is not quite official.

“We are aware of the attempt and we are awaiting evidence,” a spokeswoman for Guinness World Records told NPR.

Ahead of Hayes, the record was set by Armand Gendreau in 2014, at the age of 101 years and 3 days.

Hayes, who made his jump at 15,000 feet, which is 5,000 feet higher than his previous jump, is a D-Day veteran who used the jump to raise money for the Royal British Legion.

After the record-breaking jump, Hayes said he felt “over the moon.”
