Personal Defense Network teamed up with the United States Concealed Carry Association to bring expanded personal defense training options and membership opportunities to gun owners.
The arrangement, announced Friday, gives special access to training resources for members of each group, including professional personal defense training through web-based streaming video as well as in-person classes, defense insurance and expert editorial content. The move is also aimed at extending the reach of both organizations within the personal defense market.
Though new membership packages have not been released, PDN and USCCA call the upcoming memberships “unprecedented.”
“USCCA and PDN were both created out of a need for affordable, credible and reliable products and services for those who seek to protect themselves. As separate entities, we followed our own vision to get to where we are today,” USCCA President and Founder Tim Schmidt said in a press release. “We also recognize, however, that there’s a shared mission between us. We embraced that shared mission, put our heads together and a partnership was formed.”
PDN and USCCA will soon announce future opportunities for select PDN members to access USCCA personal defense insurance, backed by USCCA Self-Defense Shield.
As part of the partnership, PDN Executive Director, Rob Pincus will act as an advisor to the USCCA Training Division. Pincus commented on the announcement on his I.C.E. website, saying, “I am incredibly excited about the collaboration between Personal Defense Network (and me) and the United States Concealed Carry Association (USCCA).”
He added, “The opportunity that our teams have to bring even more great information, education and services to our Members and the entire community of responsible gun owners is unparalleled. Keep a close eye on what we do!”
