A man was shot earlier this month after he threatened his ex-girlfriend, then showed up at her home in Tulsa and kicked in the door.
The suspect, identified as William Easley, was found by responding officers on Sept. 1 lying in the woman’s driveway with gunshot wounds to the arm and chest. He was transported to the hospital where he was initially listed in critical condition.
Reports indicate the woman, whose name was not released, called the police earlier in the day after Easley showed up at her home and assaulted her. Easley left before police arrived, but returned around 11 p.m. and kicked in the door.
The woman, who was not charged, said Easley sent her text messages threatening to kill her and she feared for her life when she opened fire.
