OSS Suppressors serves up the new Helix-QD suppressor lineup, available for 5.56, 7.62 and Magnum builds.
The Helix-QD series originated two years ago when OSS Suppressors acquired Operators Suppressor Systems, John Spurrier, CEO of OSS Suppressors, said in a statement.
“Armed with insights and feedback from customers, dealers, OEMs and military partners, our design and engineering team implemented a development process that intensively analyzed and tested new designs to extremes. The result is an evolution of OSS’s Flow-Through technology in this new one-piece design,” Spurrier said. “We’re excited by the reaction we’re getting from dealers and partners for these new quieter, shorter, lighter and stronger suppressors.”
The HX-QD 556k introduces a short yet durable suppressor, delivering sub-140 dB. The full-auto rated can retails for $899. The HX-QD 762 is what the company terms a “utility player.” Its design, according to OSS Suppressors, is influenced by the U.S. Army’s CSASS requirements. The 762 features 136 to 139 dB performance and is also full-auto rated (up to 7.62) with cross-compatibility from 5.56 up to .300 WM. The 762 is available for $99.
The HX-QD Magnum Ti boasts a short, lightweight design built for large bore rifles — perfect for most .30 caliber platforms. The Magnum showcases a fully welded Grade 5 titanium body as well as heat treated 17-4 stainless steel and Grade 5 titanium internals. Full auto rated for 5.56, the can provides suppressor in the sub-133 db category for 5.56 and sub-139 dB for .338. The Magnum finishes off the Helix series with a price tag of $1,599.
