Investing money in a Browning semi automatic gun is a great responsibility and the reason for buying one should not be taken lightly. Also there are a number of responsibilities you will be faced with after its purchase and one of these relates to taking good care of the weapon after the purchase has been made. 

If you don’t take care of the weapon correctly after you have used it then this can lead to damage being caused to it. As a result, when you come to use your weapon next time it won’t function as effectively as you would have hoped. Certainly when it comes to taking care of any Browning gun you will find that it won’t take long and is very simple to do.   

So how do you take care of any gun you purchase?  Below we offer a few tips you may find extremely useful.

Tip 1 – When purchasing your weapon, make sure that you purchase the appropriate cleaning kit for it. This will ensure that you purchase one that comes with a barrel brush that is suitable for the caliber of the gun. The brush must be of a certain diameter to ensure that all particles that collect within the barrel made up of lead and copper can be removed every time it has been used.  Also make sure that the cleaning kit comes with a solvent that is designed for removing metal deposits along with gunpowder and other explosive product residue from the weapon.

Tip 2 – Before you actually try to disassemble your weapon in order to clean it make sure that you read through the owner’s manual thoroughly. Making sure that you pay special attention to the instructions regarding disassembling the Browning gun. You need to know exactly how to take the weapon apart so that you can clean it properly and have access to every single working component of it. It is a good idea to have a table where you can do this work without interruption and as you take each part off the gun make sure you lay them out in front of you before you begin cleaning them. Tip 3 – When it comes to cleaning the barrel of the gun first off run a cloth down the bore with a cloth that has been dipped in solvent. Then take a dry clean cloth and run this down the bore as this will help to absorb most of the solvent that remains. Next you need to take the bore brush which has been dipped in the special solvent as mentioned above and run it back and forth down the barrel at least three times. On the final pass rotate the brush as you go down and back up as this will ensure that any metal traces clinging to the barrel bore are removed. Then keep passing clean cloths down the bore until they emerge clean. 

Tip 4 – Finally when it comes to cleaning the rests of the parts of your Browning make sure that wipe them down first with a solvent before then wiping them with a clean cloth. After this you should then wipe all parts with a lightly oiled cloth.
