Whether playing on your own or in a team, paintballing is a very entertaining game. The main aim when playing in a team situation is to be able to eliminate as many of your opponents as possible. To do this you need to hit them with the paintball guns that the center either supplies you with or which you purchase yourself.

If you are intending to invest money in such equipment for yourself then there are certain factors that must be taken into consideration. Plus there are certain features that the paintball guns should come with. In this article we take a look at a number of these factors and features.

When it comes to buying such equipment you need to make sure that not only does it work efficiently but also is safe to use. What you don’t want to have happen is your fun being curtailed suddenly as someone has been injured by the equipment you or they are using.

So what features should the paintball gun you buy come with?

Feature 1 – Trigger

Today you have a number of options of what trigger mode the guns for paintballing are fitted with. You can opt for a semi automatic, automatic or pump action trigger mechanism. For this particular sport if you want to be able to fire off several rounds rapidly then of course opting for a gun fitted with an automatic trigger mechanism is recommended. But of course it is really down to what you feel comfortable with and also it is worth trying out several different models.

Feature 2 – Barrel

As you will discover when it comes to paintball guns, the length of the barrel varies from one make and model to another. Some will have barrels that only measure 3 inches long whilst others measure as long as 21 inches. Certainly if you don’t want to be in close combat situations and want the capsules to be released from the barrel more quietly then opt for a longer barrel on yours. However today, most people opt for the guns for paintballing to be fitted with barrels that measure between 14 and 16 inches. Handgun.

Feature 3 – Regulator System

Again you will find that the regulator system fitted on guns for this sport do vary from one make and model to another. However you need a regulator that allows a high flow of air through them. This will ensure that not only do the capsules leave the barrel at a relatively high speed but at the right level of velocity as well. In fact a good quality gun for paintballing comes with a regulator system that helps you to have the highest firing rate possible.

Of course when it comes to choosing paintball guns you need to consider the type of location where the sport will be carried out. Certainly if the games will take place in open spaces then you need one that you can carry comfortably and easily. So again it is worth trying out several different makes and models to see what you feel most comfortable handling.
