This Privacy Policy (“Policy”) describes our current policies regarding collection, use, distribution and protection of personal information you share with Guns.com (“Guns.com,” “we,” “us,” or “our”)  on our website https://wwww.guns.com (the “Site”).  This Policy does not apply to information collected by or provided to us other than through the Site. Please read this Policy carefully before accessing the Site.

By accessing the Site, you agree to the terms and conditions of this Policy.  IF YOU DO NOT AGREE TO THIS POLICY, YOU ARE NOT AUTHORIZED TO USE THIS SITE OR THE CONTENT FOUND ON THIS SITE.

We may revise this Policy at any time.  Any Policy revisions will be effective upon posting to the Site.  You should review this Policy, each time you visit the Site, to inform yourself of any revisions. Your continued use of the Site will constitute your acceptance of the Policy as revised. You may contact us at

The Information We Collect:

  • Communications Information. Such as the content of email or telephone calls. This includes information you provide to us by filling out forms on our Site.
  • Geolocation Information. Such as your IP address, information about what device you use to access the Site, if your settings permit the collection of this information.
  • Internet or Other Electronic Network Activity Information. Such as your Internet connection information, IP address, operating system, browser type, device information, unique device identifiers, cookie identifiers, web beacons, information about how you access our Site, what pages you visit, and when you access our Site. Note, you do not need to have the ability to accept cookies turned on in your browser to visit our Site. You may be able to reject or block cookies or tracking technologies on the Site by adjusting your browser settings. Most browsers offer instructions on how to reset the browser to reject cookies in the "Help" section of the toolbar. We use cookies, web beacons, and other relevant technologies in our emails and on our Site to allow us to accomplish the uses set out above as well as to deliver Site messaging and keep track of your personal information. We also partner with third party analytics providers like Google Analytics, a web analysis service provided by Google that utilizes cookies, to monitor web-traffic on the Site. We use Google Analytics to collect, track and examine data about the Site’s usage. We may run reports based on the data we collect and we may share the data with other Google services. Google may use the data to personalize and customize the advertisements that are served to you from its advertising network. By visiting our Site you consent to the collection and use of information by Google Analytics. The Site does not respond to Do Not Track Signals from your browser. You may opt out of Google Analytics by installing the Google Analytics Opt-Out Browser Add-on, available at https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.

We do not sell personal information for monetary consideration to unrelated third-parties.


Who We Share Your Information With:

We may share or transfer information you provide to us or that we collect on the Site with other businesses that we acquire, are acquired by, or with which we merge or partner. In the course of doing business, we may share your information with third party service providers with whom we contract to support our activities. Such services include maintaining and managing our end-user information, fulfillment processes, payment services, Site and email management, and order and inventory management. Before we disclose personal information for a business purpose, we enter into a contract with the third party that describes the purpose and requires the recipient to both keep the PII confidential and not use it for any purpose except performing the contract. These companies may need information about you to perform their necessary functions and we limit such personal information shared with such providers to what is necessary to fulfill the above purposes.

In the preceding twelve (12) months, Guns.com has not sold PII.

Security and Retention of Your Information

We will undertake reasonable steps to protect all information, including your personal information, from unauthorized or accidental access, disclosure, misuse or processing, or from alteration, destruction, or loss. We use industry accepted administrative, technical, and physical security standards and measures to protect your personal information.  We also use encryption on certain areas of our Site. However, because no security measures are perfect or impenetrable, we cannot guarantee the security of information you submit to us. We are not responsible for the circumvention of any privacy settings or security measures contained on the Site, for the unauthorized acts of others, or for acts or omissions beyond our reasonable control.

Some of the information you may enter on our Site may be transmitted securely via a Secure Sockets Layer, or SSL. Credit card information should never be transmitted to us over email.

We retain personal information for as long as necessary or permitted for the purposes set forth in this Policy or otherwise required or authorized by law. Third Party Privacy Practices

The Site may contain links to websites owned by third parties and third party advertisements. This Policy applies only to the Site and its content, and our collection and use of information provided through the Site. Your use of third party sites and content may be governed by such third party’s terms of use or privacy policies. Please review any third party privacy policies before providing Your information on any third party site. We are not liable for or responsible for Your use of third party sites or Third Party Content.

Children’s Privacy

We do not market to or knowingly collect, share, or maintain information from or about persons under 18 years of age. If you are under the age of 18, do not use or access the Site at any time or in any manner.  If we learn that PII of persons under 18 has been collected on the Site without verified parental consent, we will take appropriate steps to delete this information.
 

Rights of Certain Types of Users

Subject to applicable law, you may have certain rights regarding your personal information. As a result, we may require that you take additional steps to validate your identity and legal authority. Your request will be considered validated once you have completed the validation process or submitted additional information as requested. Should you fail to confirm your request within the relevant timeframe and/or fail to provide the additional information requested, your request will be considered unvalidated and closed.

We will provide a response to any personal information request within the timeframe required by applicable law. If we cannot substantively respond to your request in a timely manner, we will notify you and provide the reason for the delay.

Under certain circumstances, we may not be able to fulfill your request, such as when doing so would interfere with our regulatory or legal obligations, where we cannot verify your identity, or if your request involves disproportionate cost or effort. But we will respond to your request within a reasonable time, as required by law, and provide an explanation.

The Site is hosted in the United States and is intended for users in the United States.
