The Browning X-Bolt RMEF Special Hunter is a bolt-action rifle chambered in .325 WSM. It is one of 18 variations on the X-Bolt series offered by Browning. The RMEF Special Hunter is distinct for its raised cheekpiece meant to direct recoil into the shooter’s shoulder to preserve accuracy. Browning recommends the rifle for hunting.
The X-Bolt RMEF Special Hunter features a satin-finished walnut checkered stock with a Rosewood grip cap. The stock also shows the logo of the Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation, which makes it distinct among the X-Bolt series. The rifle’s 23″ steel barrel has a low-luster blued finish and is drilled and tapped for scope mounts. The bolt is set at a 60 degree lift.
Like every Browning X-Bolt rifle, the RMEF features a screw-adjustable Feather Trigger, which comes factory set at about 3.5 lbs. Additional features include a recoil pad and pre-installed sling swivel studs.
